セルフ・タイトル・アルバム「MIYAVI」を遂に6月19日にリリース決定!今作は、MIYAVIの特徴である強力なスラップギターを中心に、海外シーンを席巻する「EDM」(エレクトロニック・ダンス・ミュージック)サウンドを取り入れた意欲作。製作陣には過去にJanet Jackson / Rihanna / Carlos Santana / Taylor Swift / Outcast / Usher/Mary J Blige / Leona Lewis らを手がけ、グラミー賞やブリットアウォードを獲得してきたプロデューサー、Dean Gillardを起用。更にその他にもヨーロッパ各国のDJ、プロデューサーも数人起用する予定で、まさに世界標準仕様のサウンドが期待される。MIYAVIも、残るところ沖縄公演のみとなった「Ahead Of The Light」ツアーを終えると、すぐに渡英し、ロンドンでのレコーディングを予定している。また、海外での「MIYAVI」という表記に、日本国内アーティスト名表記も「雅-MIYAVI-」から、「MIYAVI」に統一することを発表し、本格的に海外へ進出する意を発表。"サムライ・ギタリスト"MIYAVIの新章の幕開けに要注目 !
